Didn't fish Saturday as arrived later than usual. Started on Sunday, fishing was explosive! from the beginning catching 13 up to 32lb just in the day, decided not to fish the night and went up the bar LOL, this was the pattern for the whole week, fishing days only, finished the week catching 67 Carp up to 38lb 4 oz, of which 13 were 30lb +, and only 3 were less than 20lb, absolutely incredible for me. I'm not going to list all 67 weights! mainly because because my mate Cliff will take the piss LOL.

Everyone we (Me, Cliff and Ian) spent the week with were great, the 2 Micks (father and son), Leon, Rio and Jacob. All the bailiffs, Paul, Ashley were great, Jane as always was fantastic, a great host and Ambassador (LOL) for the fishery, food and cold beers are great. Thanks to Rob for making it happen this year.

The whole place was great. Staff incredible! Fishing superb. Stayed with 3 rods ended up fishing just one rod as action was non stop! Totally smashed my PB several times!!!!. You put one rod down the other runs off. Often getting double runs. Have been dying to come to France carp fishing for years and Roseau did not fail at all. All the lads couldn’t do enough to help with our stay. Excellent excellent fishery!!!!! A very big thank you for all your help and given me the help to smash my PB.

Dear Roseau Team
Following our recent trip on The Large Lake we wanted to say a few things about our experience of the fishery. We arrived on the Saturday to be greeted in what was the warmest, most welcoming way I have been met at a fishery in my 20-years of fishing in France. This hospitality continued throughout the week.
We didn’t have the food package, instead opting to self-cater. However, we did dip in and out of the food on offer during the week, having breakfast one morning and the evening meal on a couple of occasions. We couldn’t fault the food we had, with ample portion sizes and good quality meals.
The fishing itself was really interesting. Clearly there are large numbers of fish in The Large Lake, with the average size a very respectable 25lb 4oz based on our captures, slightly above the 25lb average we were told. What I found interesting about the fishing was the response we got not from the bait itself but the application of bait. The fish really respond to the ‘sound’ of bait being applied, be this by baitboat or throwing stick. I can’t comment on whether the same response would be had from spodding because I didn’t do any, but I can only guess that this would attract fish in a similar way. The upshot was that we received runs soon after dropping rigs and freebies from the boat or after sticking baits out to our baited area. The fish were all in excellent condition, which is a credit to the fishery and those who have fished there.
The weather during our stay was very hot, with daytime temperatures in the high 30’s and touching 40 on a couple of days. Despite this the fish still fed, with our catches from pegs 1 & 2 averaging between 3 and 5 fish per day and that was with only two nights fished and winding in for a few hours during the hottest part of the day. Others on the lake were managing to catch 10 or more per day, again with most not fishing nights as far as I know.
As well as the team running the fishery, we also met a really friendly bunch of anglers on both the large and small lake and will hopefully be fishing with a handful of these next year.
All in all, I would highly recommend this fishery to anyone looking for a friendly, clean, well run fishery that whilst offering a challenge, has the capability to produce massive hits of fish in the 25lb to 35lb range with the chance of the odd one being much bigger. The shower and toilet facilities have been refurbished this year with further improvements planned for next year.
We would like to say thank you to all the team who looked after us so well but with particular mention of Rob, Jane and Charley who genuinely couldn’t do enough for us. We will definitely be back!

We had a decent trip, water level so low that netting and releasing fish was a real nightmare. Lake is set up for duck shooting so not the most picturesque of lakes. None of this is down to the owners. There are a stack of fish to go at and I can see how people have big hits on this venue. Jane and John the bailiff were great hosts and nothings to much trouble. Great social on the Friday night. If you want the chance to catch a large amount of fish in a week this is the place for you.

We liked the look of the small lake on our visit in 2015 and, having had one night on it about 15 years ago, felt there was some unfinished business. We also brought our carping novice, Greg, on his first proper carp outing. We caught 18 fish including 2 x 40's and 14 x 30's including 2 x 39's. Greg caught 2 personal best fish and was delighted.

We fished together for the social aspect and squeezed onto the three close swims but there is another nice swim at the end of the lake so you could squeeze four on at a pinch, and if you are all good mates! Back leads essential!
The first night we had two 30's from open water about 2/3 across the lake, from then on most success was from the far margin but Greg lost one stalking the bottom end of the lake. You need to be a good caster or, better still, have a bait boat to get to the margin effectively. We scattered a variety of boilies and fished pop ups and critically balanced baits with some partiblend and pellets along with a few boilies in the boat.

The small lake is the ideal lake for a friendly group. The advantages of not having to fish with strangers, no draw and no hassle is fantastic and I can fully recommend this fishery. Both lakes offer good fishing with good facilities. For many it offers a really good chance of a personal best. Not really suitable for disabled anglers as it can be a trek to get your gear from the car park but help is readily forthcoming. The facilities are excellent with two shiwer rooms and clean, well equipped toilet facilities. There's also a fully equipped bar area and, although we were self catering, the food looks good too. Wouldn't take much to tempt me back!

Great venue with facilities that should rival anywhere. After being used to drive and survive tactics Roseaus' clean showers + toilets, English charging points and friendly family atmosphere was a superb choice for my party. Roy's boundless enthusiasm and passion for anything carp related, really makes the place tick. Couple that with Janes culinary skills and you have a venue that should easily satisfy any travelling angler.

I fished peg 1 casting to the bollie spot with one rod and the other rod that produced well was a rod length off the tree line on the corner of the far bay.Did try the righthand margin but didn't produce for me but I only fished during the day so think it may be a good night spot.Kept thd Shrimp bollies going in regularly and tipped with yellow corn. Listen to Dan the Baliff for all the good spots.

First time I have fished thd Small Lake and knew it would be a challenge as I dont use a baitboat but was over the moon with my catch report.The hospitality from Dan and Jane is second to none whatever your needs they go out of their way to ensure you have a fantastic time.We had great company and a real laugh with the Star wars crew, Carl and Rob who were on the Large Lake. Thanks to everyone for another brilliant week at the legendary ROSEAU.

My only complaint for want of a better word. Was the bait package. We did not get what we ordered ie we got shelf life bait instead of frozen. 22mm not 18mm and I felt it was an inferior bait certainly did not catch much and was used on 1 rod for the first few days.
But overall very enjoyable week both Jean and Dan were great company not forgetting Janet the PM lady LOL. The barbeque was to die for.
I especially enjoyed being able to watch Castleford beat Leeds at Rugby League.

19 fish...10 fish 20lb + and 9 x 30lb plus fish, biggest being 39lb. all the fish where in very good condition. the common carp are stunning and fight well.

tree line and a long cast into the bay over a small bed of spread baits. I would recommend a bait boat for this lake as it will make a huge difference to your catch and ability to get onto the fish at distance in the bay.
all but 3 fish have been caught between 1am and 5am as the lake was dead in the daytime due to the heat.

Had a good time and we found everyone helpful, the food package was worth having but was disappointed with the quality of the bait and feel the boilies really let us down (this is the first time in 10 years we have not taken our own baits never again) in general its a good setup and worth a visit, I am sure in years to come we will return for another go on the small lake. thank you to Dan & Jane for all the help during our stay excellent. simple drive to the lake.

Some lovely Commons to over 25lb in great condition who knew how to fight.
)ver 60 fish between us for the week and we only really fished for 5 days, arriving late and leaving early.
What Did You Find To Be The Best Tactics
As usual with fishing effort was rewarded if something wasn't happening then try something else. We twice caught fish by virtually dropping bait on their heads from a bait boat! We found that fishy baits caught well and the lake's own boilies were very effective, but we also caught on cell and mussel and shellfish pop ups ere good. We kept the bait going in and used 20K of partiblend, 5K of pellet and 35K of boilies through the week. Although the fish were spawning we continued to catch with only a couple of quieter days.

The shower, wash, toilet facitilites were some of the best I've had whilst fishing. The lodge has whatever you need. All excellent. Not suitable for disabled anglers due to swims not being accessible by car.

Yes. It's a reallly good family, social fishing venue where you'll catch some decent fish.

Dan the bailiff was always there to advise and help, he was excellent. In fact everyone was willing, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a relaxing week and young Joe had a whale of a time.

Took advice from Roy and Andy the bailiff and fished small amounts of particles with boilie hook bait topped with a bit of colour.they put me on the right spots but the fish hadn't switched on. Worked the swim well but only managed a few liners and a couple of pick ups but that's fishing!!!!

Had a great week despite no fish Roy and andy very helpful and jane cooked great food all week. Pool table in cabin helped with the lack of fish and even managed to beat Roy on his own table with his own cue lol met some nice people and found Rosseau to be a well run well organised venue. Don't normally fish this early in the year in France and despite no fish had a really enjoyable week. Listen to Roy and you'll get great results. Definately be back next year!!!!

40 + carp average of 25lb biggest of 34.04 mirror fished only morning and after dinner, no need to fish nights, some days didn't even fish, 2nd time at Roseau, doesn't get any better for a social venue, proper runs water, party of 10 anglers this year, club house a great facility just for a change of scenery, took the food package again, makes the whole trip simpler not having to cook and clean on the bank

Bevo's baits, the bizz And dominator, peg 5 fished down the side of the island on the end of the bar, boilies fished snowman tipped with either yellow maggot or corn over the top of Roseau particle, get plenty of bait in to start and top up after each fish, bites came thick and fast double takes on numerous occasions.

2nd year on Roseau so new what to expect, average fish on the big lake around 25lb, small lake average is bigger I would say 30lb +, if it's a social venue your after with plenty of fish on the bank then this is the venue for you, 100+ carp a week is very realistic per angler, did it last year without fishing a single night, good evenings had at the club house after dinner, this venue gives you the opportunity to spend time in your mates swim having a natter, you don't feel pressured to have lines in the water all the time, carp are plenty here, you should leave at the end of the week relaxed well fed and smiles all around due to good fishing

Over 100 fish to 35lbs including two PB-S plus a sturgeon of 16lbs,we had over 1800lb of fish only fished for five days and no nights. Fantastic place constant action . Nine over 30lbs 70 over twenty the rest high doubles would have fished more but the bar and company of Jane and Roy was calling.

This was my first time fishing in France by myself and was made to feel welcome from the off by Roy and Jane. what an amazing place the food and fishing is outstanding, nothing is too much trouble for either Jane or Roy and they will do there best to help you out, watch out for Roy as he is a bit of a pool shark. Our group needed a year off from fishing hard venues and instead wanted somewhere that provided easy fishing and the opportunity of a good social - Roseau Big lake gave us just that. Our thanks to Jane and Roy for the great food and hospitality - nothing was too much trouble. Plus there was the bonus of Sky TV in the lodge showing the boxing and the footy accompanied by quite a few bottles of excellent red. Highly recommended, fun carp fishing.

best fishing holiday the pair of us have had in France. Roy is a great host and we had the pleasure of meeting two great groups of other anglers. On the big lake we had Craig, Chris and Cody. On the small lake Mick, Martin and Luke. Boys you just added to our great week and Cody and Luke are both a credit to your dads. Work hard lads and keep spanking your dads with the fish size you catch !! Don't want to wish our lives away but really can't wait to go back. Just remember lads - 12 o'clock is " Ching Ching time"

Great runs water.. had none stop action in the day but struggled for a bite at nite..
The fish in roseau are hard fighting carp and give a good every time.. after every fish i chucked out 10 to 20 freebies and that seemed to leep them in the area... if you want none stop action then id recommend roseau.. we didnt go for the food package as we like to fend for ourselves but we did have breakfast on the Saturday morning and it was great... had a great time thanks

I caught various species including Crucian Carp, the Carp weights were between 15lb and 30 plus. All the fish caught were in immaculate condition, The Commons are on steroids.

I was on peg 5, I found a bar in front of the island where I was catching consistently to 28 lb . The real lumps were caught on single boilie casting past the point with a large spread of bait. Feeding with the Cybershot made this so easily done .

Since I've been back I have spoken to everyone about Roseau in great detail.
General Comments
The crew at Roseau gave the best hospitality I've ever had, the food was great and the beverages went down well too. We all felt very welcome and felt at home the minute we arrived. Both lakes produced some amazing catches. The more effort you put in the more the lakes rewarded you. Even in the quiet spells catches were fairly consistent but on the whole the lakes were alive. Needless to say we've booked again the very morning we were leaving. Thank you everyone at Roseau.
Topped baits with white corn / fish the far margins where Roy tells you . Get on the partiacal aswell most of the fish came on the cell and the nail by CARP BAIT UK.

I had 11 carp up to 28lb 10 of them were stunning mirrors fight really well and 1 was a stunning common at 28lb.

Roseau own boilies. Doubled up on a basic hair rig. With a couple of hand fulls of boilies spread over the hook baits. But I did have a 25lb and a 23lb of a yellow foam on a fox zig setup about 1ft of the bottom and missed loads of runs.

absolutley non stop action. sometimes couldnt even get the bait boat back in before my rods were off.
4 of us went and we must of had 200 fish between us.i stopped counting after around 30.

double roseau boilie or single with a piece of fake corn. i started to have a few bream and tench but i sorted that out with 22mms and was soon back into the big ones. i was boating my baits out right tight to the island from peg 6 and that was enough for run after run.

Double boilie over a bed of party blend /pellet/ boilie. I used size 6 or 8 blowback rigs one a running ledger rig the other on a lead safety clip leader. Both rods fished at approx sixty yards. Also employed small pva mesh bags with a few free offerings and roseau's stick mix. Definitely recommend the stick mix!!!!! Amazing place

Just got back from a week at Roseau. First trip to France and on our first night we opted to chose to fish the big lake because there was a few spare pegs an was told it was an out and out runs water.With one rod each me and Ben fished about six hours in the day and smashed pb's again an again altogether having 2x30s, 9x20s and a few high doubles. For the rest of the holiday we had the small lake exclusive also a runs water but a little trickier as there are bigger fish to catch! The start went a bit slow having only a few fish between us but cracking fish none the less, towards the end Ben got the bollie swim up an running, landing 4x30s 15x20s an the odd double

I caught 28 carp in the week I was there both mirrors and commons from mid doubles to my pb in the form of a 34lb 4oz mirror. I never fished 3 rods or a full day either so I call that a good week and to top it off I had a 14lb sturgeon, 15lb grass carp and a bream.
What Did You Find To Be The Best Tactics
My best tactic was a single 14mm Nash purple monster squid pop up boated out to the island with a hopper full of spod mix for a quick bite, producing my pb fish. Or the other tactic was a snowman bait with a bright little popup or floating fake corn as a topper on a size 6 blow back rig of about 10 inch rig all using a 3oz brown textured lead on a drop off lead clip and Nash d-cam tubing.

Roseau is a venue which is great for serious anglers or just the social angler, if you listen to the guys on site they will put you right. The right spots in each peg, how much bait to put in anything you need to know really. I would advise to take a lot of bait or buy alot from the venue because if you get among the fish they will clean you out of a few kilos in a matter of minutes. The last thing I have to say is get on the food package it filled me all week and im a 25 stone guy with a big appetite.

Didn't fish Saturday as arrived later than usual. Started on Sunday, fishing was explosive! from the beginning catching 13 up to 32lb just in the day, decided not to fish the night and went up the bar LOL, this was the pattern for the whole week, fishing days only, finished the week catching 67 Carp up to 38lb 4 oz, of which 13 were 30lb +, and only 3 were less than 20lb, absolutely incredible for me. I'm not going to list all 67 weights! mainly because because my mate Cliff will take the piss LOL.

bait little and often and definitely follow the wind,we found reeling in before breakfast and baiting with 25 to 30 boilies scattering them about,after breakfast baiting again and thats when we had most of our fish by dinner,also a few fish during the night

The whole place was great. Staff incredible! Fishing superb. Stayed with 3 rods ended up fishing just one rod as action was non stop! Totally smashed my PB several times!!!!. You put one rod down the other runs off. Often getting double runs. Have been dying to come to France carp fishing for years and Roseau did not fail at all. All the lads couldn’t do enough to help with our stay. Excellent excellent fishery!!!!! A very big thank you for all your help and given me the help to smash my PB.

Dear Roseau Team Following our recent trip on The Large Lake we wanted to say a few things about our experience of the fishery. We arrived on the Saturday to be greeted in what was the warmest, most welcoming way I have been met at a fishery in my 20-years of fishing in France. This hospitality continued throughout the week. We didn’t have the food package, instead opting to self-cater. However, we did dip in and out of the food on offer during the week, having breakfast one morning and the evening meal on a couple of occasions. We couldn’t fault the food we had, with ample portion sizes and good quality meals. The fishing itself was really interesting. Clearly there are large numbers of fish in The Large Lake, with the average size a very respectable 25lb 4oz based on our captures, slightly above the 25lb average we were told. What I found interesting about the fishing was the response we got not from the bait itself but the application of bait. The fish really respond to the ‘sound’ of bait being applied, be this by baitboat or throwing stick. I can’t comment on whether the same response would be had from spodding because I didn’t do any, but I can only guess that this would attract fish in a similar way. The upshot was that we received runs soon after dropping rigs and freebies from the boat or after sticking baits out to our baited area. The fish were all in excellent condition, which is a credit to the fishery and those who have fished there. The weather during our stay was very hot, with daytime temperatures in the high 30’s and touching 40 on a couple of days. Despite this the fish still fed, with our catches from pegs 1 & 2 averaging between 3 and 5 fish per day and that was with only two nights fished and winding in for a few hours during the hottest part of the day. Others on the lake were managing to catch 10 or more per day, again with most not fishing nights as far as I know. As well as the team running the fishery, we also met a really friendly bunch of anglers on both the large and small lake and will hopefully be fishing with a handful of these next year. All in all, I would highly recommend this fishery to anyone looking for a friendly, clean, well run fishery that whilst offering a challenge, has the capability to produce massive hits of fish in the 25lb to 35lb range with the chance of the odd one being much bigger. The shower and toilet facilities have been refurbished this year with further improvements planned for next year. We would like to say thank you to all the team who looked after us so well but with particular mention of Rob, Jane and Charley who genuinely couldn’t do enough for us. We will definitely be back!

We had a decent trip, water level so low that netting and releasing fish was a real nightmare. Lake is set up for duck shooting so not the most picturesque of lakes. None of this is down to the owners. There are a stack of fish to go at and I can see how people have big hits on this venue. Jane and John the bailiff were great hosts and nothings to much trouble. Great social on the Friday night. If you want the chance to catch a large amount of fish in a week this is the place for you.

We liked the look of the small lake on our visit in 2015 and, having had one night on it about 15 years ago, felt there was some unfinished business. We also brought our carping novice, Greg, on his first proper carp outing. We caught 18 fish including 2 x 40's and 14 x 30's including 2 x 39's. Greg caught 2 personal best fish and was delighted.

We fished together for the social aspect and squeezed onto the three close swims but there is another nice swim at the end of the lake so you could squeeze four on at a pinch, and if you are all good mates! Back leads essential! The first night we had two 30's from open water about 2/3 across the lake, from then on most success was from the far margin but Greg lost one stalking the bottom end of the lake. You need to be a good caster or, better still, have a bait boat to get to the margin effectively. We scattered a variety of boilies and fished pop ups and critically balanced baits with some partiblend and pellets along with a few boilies in the boat.

The small lake is the ideal lake for a friendly group. The advantages of not having to fish with strangers, no draw and no hassle is fantastic and I can fully recommend this fishery. Both lakes offer good fishing with good facilities. For many it offers a really good chance of a personal best. Not really suitable for disabled anglers as it can be a trek to get your gear from the car park but help is readily forthcoming. The facilities are excellent with two shiwer rooms and clean, well equipped toilet facilities. There's also a fully equipped bar area and, although we were self catering, the food looks good too. Wouldn't take much to tempt me back!

i only fished approx. 10/11 hours a day it was enough for me in my swim produced about 80 fish not bad for daylight hours it was manic to be honest slept like a baby all night ready for next day

as soon as I got in my swim 5 kilo of a good fishmeal went straight in on every cast about 20 boilies over each rod I fished with a pink topper on snowman rig when bites slowed up single pinks started to produce when that slowed up double boilie bottom baites produced all fished on normal notless not rigs using size 4 cranks

Great venue with facilities that should rival anywhere. After being used to drive and survive tactics Roseaus' clean showers + toilets, English charging points and friendly family atmosphere was a superb choice for my party. Roy's boundless enthusiasm and passion for anything carp related, really makes the place tick. Couple that with Janes culinary skills and you have a venue that should easily satisfy any travelling angler. Are we going back? Absolutely, see you on the bank in 2017.

I fished peg 1 casting to the bollie spot with one rod and the other rod that produced well was a rod length off the tree line on the corner of the far bay.Did try the righthand margin but didn't produce for me but I only fished during the day so think it may be a good night spot.Kept thd Shrimp bollies going in regularly and tipped with yellow corn. Listen to Dan the Baliff for all the good spots.

First time I have fished thd Small Lake and knew it would be a challenge as I dont use a baitboat but was over the moon with my catch report.The hospitality from Dan and Jane is second to none whatever your needs they go out of their way to ensure you have a fantastic time.We had great company and a real laugh with the Star wars crew, Carl and Rob who were on the Large Lake. Thanks to everyone for another brilliant week at the legendary ROSEAU.

My only complaint for want of a better word. Was the bait package. We did not get what we ordered ie we got shelf life bait instead of frozen. 22mm not 18mm and I felt it was an inferior bait certainly did not catch much and was used on 1 rod for the first few days. But overall very enjoyable week both Jean and Dan were great company not forgetting Janet the PM lady LOL. The barbeque was to die for. I especially enjoyed being able to watch Castleford beat Leeds at Rugby League.

19 fish...10 fish 20lb + and 9 x 30lb plus fish, biggest being 39lb. all the fish where in very good condition. the common carp are stunning and fight well.

tree line and a long cast into the bay over a small bed of spread baits. I would recommend a bait boat for this lake as it will make a huge difference to your catch and ability to get onto the fish at distance in the bay. all but 3 fish have been caught between 1am and 5am as the lake was dead in the daytime due to the heat.

Had a good time and we found everyone helpful, the food package was worth having but was disappointed with the quality of the bait and feel the boilies really let us down (this is the first time in 10 years we have not taken our own baits never again) in general its a good setup and worth a visit, I am sure in years to come we will return for another go on the small lake. thank you to Dan & Jane for all the help during our stay excellent. simple drive to the lake.

7 x 30's to 39.5 - over 25 x 20's - over 25 x doubles plus bream, tench and a 10lb Pike Some lovely Commons to over 25lb in great condition who knew how to fight. )ver 60 fish between us for the week and we only really fished for 5 days, arriving late and leaving early.
What Did You Find To Be The Best Tactics
As usual with fishing effort was rewarded if something wasn't happening then try something else. We twice caught fish by virtually dropping bait on their heads from a bait boat! We found that fishy baits caught well and the lake's own boilies were very effective, but we also caught on cell and mussel and shellfish pop ups ere good. We kept the bait going in and used 20K of partiblend, 5K of pellet and 35K of boilies through the week. Although the fish were spawning we continued to catch with only a couple of quieter days.

The shower, wash, toilet facitilites were some of the best I've had whilst fishing. The lodge has whatever you need. All excellent. Not suitable for disabled anglers due to swims not being accessible by car.

Yes. It's a reallly good family, social fishing venue where you'll catch some decent fish.

Dan the bailiff was always there to advise and help, he was excellent. In fact everyone was willing, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a relaxing week and young Joe had a whale of a time.

Took advice from Roy and Andy the bailiff and fished small amounts of particles with boilie hook bait topped with a bit of colour.they put me on the right spots but the fish hadn't switched on. Worked the swim well but only managed a few liners and a couple of pick ups but that's fishing!!!!

Had a great week despite no fish Roy and andy very helpful and jane cooked great food all week. Pool table in cabin helped with the lack of fish and even managed to beat Roy on his own table with his own cue lol met some nice people and found Rosseau to be a well run well organised venue. Don't normally fish this early in the year in France and despite no fish had a really enjoyable week. Listen to Roy and you'll get great results. Definately be back next year!!!!

40 + carp average of 25lb biggest of 34.04 mirror fished only morning and after dinner, no need to fish nights, some days didn't even fish, 2nd time at Roseau, doesn't get any better for a social venue, proper runs water, party of 10 anglers this year, club house a great facility just for a change of scenery, took the food package again, makes the whole trip simpler not having to cook and clean on the bank

Bevo's baits, the bizz And dominator, peg 5 fished down the side of the island on the end of the bar, boilies fished snowman tipped with either yellow maggot or corn over the top of Roseau particle, get plenty of bait in to start and top up after each fish, bites came thick and fast double takes on numerous occasions.

2nd year on Roseau so new what to expect, average fish on the big lake around 25lb, small lake average is bigger I would say 30lb +, if it's a social venue your after with plenty of fish on the bank then this is the venue for you, 100+ carp a week is very realistic per angler, did it last year without fishing a single night, good evenings had at the club house after dinner, this venue gives you the opportunity to spend time in your mates swim having a natter, you don't feel pressured to have lines in the water all the time, carp are plenty here, you should leave at the end of the week relaxed well fed and smiles all around due to good fishing

Over 100 fish to 35lbs including two PB-S plus a sturgeon of 16lbs,we had over 1800lb of fish only fished for five days and no nights. Fantastic place constant action . Nine over 30lbs 70 over twenty the rest high doubles would have fished more but the bar and company of Jane and Roy was calling.

This was my first time fishing in France by myself and was made to feel welcome from the off by Roy and Jane. what an amazing place the food and fishing is outstanding, nothing is too much trouble for either Jane or Roy and they will do there best to help you out, watch out for Roy as he is a bit of a pool shark. I would highly recommend this place to any one and I will definitely be back.

Our group needed a year off from fishing hard venues and instead wanted somewhere that provided easy fishing and the opportunity of a good social - Roseau Big lake gave us just that. Our thanks to Jane and Roy for the great food and hospitality - nothing was too much trouble. Plus there was the bonus of Sky TV in the lodge showing the boxing and the footy accompanied by quite a few bottles of excellent red. Highly recommended, fun carp fishing.

best fishing holiday the pair of us have had in France. Roy is a great host and we had the pleasure of meeting two great groups of other anglers. On the big lake we had Craig, Chris and Cody. On the small lake Mick, Martin and Luke. Boys you just added to our great week and Cody and Luke are both a credit to your dads. Great runs water.. had none stop action in the day but struggled for a bite at nite.. The fish in roseau are hard fighting carp and give a good every time.. after every fish i chucked out 10 to 20 freebies and that seemed to leep them in the area... if you want none stop action then id recommend roseau.. we didnt go for the food package as we like to fend for ourselves but we did have breakfast on the Saturday morning and it was great... had a great time thanks

this was my 2nd trip to the small lake and it just gets better,roy and his family were totally brill once again it was like you were part of the family yourself ,the food was tops and would take the food package every time ,met some really top people,and the fishing was out of this world thats why i have already booked for next year,the only bad thing about this place is you have to leave,it is a special place to be,and would like to say a huge thanks to roy ,gayle,jamie and jess for making this a holiday of a lifetime once again and also sid one mad dog

I caught various species including Crucian Carp, the Carp weights were between 15lb and 30 plus. All the fish caught were in immaculate condition, The Commons are on steroids.

I was on peg 5, I found a bar in front of the island where I was catching consistently to 28 lb . The real lumps were caught on single boilie casting past the point with a large spread of bait. Feeding with the Cybershot made this so easily done .

Since I've been back I have spoken to everyone about Roseau in great detail.
General Comments
The crew at Roseau gave the best hospitality I've ever had, the food was great and the beverages went down well too. We all felt very welcome and felt at home the minute we arrived. Both lakes produced some amazing catches. The more effort you put in the more the lakes rewarded you. Even in the quiet spells catches were fairly consistent but on the whole the lakes were alive. Needless to say we've booked again the very morning we were leaving. Thank you everyone at Roseau.

I had 11 carp up to 28lb 10 of them were stunning mirrors fight really well and 1 was a stunning common at 28lb.

Roseau own boilies. Doubled up on a basic hair rig. With a couple of hand fulls of boilies spread over the hook baits. But I did have a 25lb and a 23lb of a yellow foam on a fox zig setup about 1ft of the bottom and missed loads of runs.

absolutley non stop action. sometimes couldnt even get the bait boat back in before my rods were off. 4 of us went and we must of had 200 fish between us.i stopped counting after around 30. around 8 different thirties between us, with alot,and i mean alot of upper twentys.

double roseau boilie or single with a piece of fake corn. i started to have a few bream and tench but i sorted that out with 22mms and was soon back into the big ones. i was boating my baits out right tight to the island from peg 6 and that was enough for run after run. at night i just casted my baits around 60-80 yards in mid water and that produced as well.

Double boilie over a bed of party blend /pellet/ boilie. I used size 6 or 8 blowback rigs one a running ledger rig the other on a lead safety clip leader. Both rods fished at approx sixty yards. Also employed small pva mesh bags with a few free offerings and roseau's stick mix. Definitely recommend the stick mix!!!!! Amazing place

Just got back from a week at Roseau. First trip to France and on our first night we opted to chose to fish the big lake because there was a few spare pegs an was told it was an out and out runs water.With one rod each me and Ben fished about six hours in the day and smashed pb's again an again altogether having 2x30s, 9x20s and a few high doubles. For the rest of the holiday we had the small lake exclusive also a runs water but a little trickier as there are bigger fish to catch! The start went a bit slow having only a few fish between us but cracking fish none the less, towards the end Ben got the bollie swim up an running, landing 4x30s 15x20s an the odd double

Had a great time down at Roseau, put a proper bend in the rod, just what I needed after a tough winter season over in the UK, in total I landed 16 fish, averaging mid 20, with the biggest at 27lb comman, it was also a time for me to sit back and relax, i only fished mornings & evenings, the whole experience was excellent.............

The lake speaks for itself "it's magical, proper carp water", the facilities are second to none, nothing is too much trouble, with the lake set in its quite northern French location it allows you to switch off and just enjoy, roy is a top man, with his assistants his cousin Brian and his mum jane, it's the complete package, can't wait to go back.............

Had over 100 fish between both of us just lost count we did count the 30s we had between both of us we had 17 30s with the biggest being 35.08lb if it's runs you want this is the venue I found it really good fun the lodge is a big bouns just to chill out a bit and let your arms get some life back after the fish have been pulling because they do fight Roy and his mum were very nice and did all they could to make it a good time

Although I couldn't fish I have to say that the fishery is great, well run and does EXACTLY what is says on the tin! I've fished in France for over 14 years and would return back here each year as it's a great place, lots of action to be had with a warm welcome from the owner and his team. Brilliant weeks fishing most enjoyable week I've ever had, true runs water guaranteed to have an abundance of fish. the bailiff Roy and his mum are the most nicest down to earth people really made us welcome food package is well worth taking as they are brilliant cooks cannot fault the lakes and facilities I reccomend it to anyone looking to go extremly happy with my experience and will deffinetly be going again in the future. (You will not find another lake in France like it)

I caught 28 carp in the week I was there both mirrors and commons from mid doubles to my pb in the form of a 34lb 4oz mirror. I never fished 3 rods or a full day either so I call that a good week and to top it off I had a 14lb sturgeon, 15lb grass carp and a bream.
What Did You Find To Be The Best Tactics
My best tactic was a single 14mm Nash purple monster squid pop up boated out to the island with a hopper full of spod mix for a quick bite, producing my pb fish. Or the other tactic was a snowman bait with a bright little popup or floating fake corn as a topper on a size 6 blow back rig of about 10 inch rig all using a 3oz brown textured lead on a drop off lead clip and Nash d-cam tubing.

Roseau is a venue which is great for serious anglers or just the social angler, if you listen to the guys on site they will put you right. The right spots in each peg, how much bait to put in anything you need to know really. I would advise to take a lot of bait or buy alot from the venue because if you get among the fish they will clean you out of a few kilos in a matter of minutes. The last thing I have to say is get on the food package it filled me all week and im a 25 stone guy with a big appetite.

In the week I was there I caught 28 carp ranging from mid double to a 34lb mirror some lovely powerful commons. Plus I also caught 2 new species for me a 15lb sturgeon and a 15lb grass carp.

If you go just for the social side or as a serious carper you are made to feel very welcome. If you listen to the guys there you will definitely catch a few carp maybe some big uns and one last thing please take advantage of the food package it was brilliant the cook will change the menu for you if you give him enough notice and it will fill you.
